Roland L. “Louie” Spadaro, age 81, of West Sherman Ave. in DuBois, PA died Dec. 30, 2011 at his home.
Born on Feb. 15, 1930 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Dominick & Mary (Scozafiva) Spadaro.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
On Jan. 16, 1954, he married Norma (Gearhart) Spadaro. She survives.
He was a supervisor for the Ford Motor Company in Buffalo, New York for 30 years.
He was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed cooking, making fudge, homemade spaghetti and ravioli.
He is survived by two sons, Dominick Louis Spadaro of Newport, NC and Roland Louis Spadaro, Jr. & his wife, Mary of Hebron, KY., a sister, Rose M. Patt of DuBois, PA a brother, Fred Spadaro of DuBois, PA, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eugene Spadaro.
Visitation will be held on Jan. 2 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois.
A funeral service will be held on January 2 at 1 p.m. from the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
