Clayton R. Myers, 85, of Osceola Mills died Friday at the Clearfield Hospital. Born March 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Fred and Grace (Graham) Myers.
Mr. Myers was of the Christian faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired welder. He enjoyed gardening, making clocks and other woodworking.
He married Emily H. (Williams) Myers on Feb. 26, 1944 in Osceola Mills. She survives him at home.
Mr. Myers is survived by three daughters, Diana Southard and her husband, Edward of Allport; Deborah Myers of Osceola Mills; and Michele Castro and her husband, Stanley of Houtzdale; two sons, Richard Myers and his wife, Jean and Kenneth Myers and his wife, Bonnie, all of Osceola Mills; and a sister, Ethel Hughes of Osceola Mills.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren Renee Myers and her fiancé, Rick Wallace; Heather Myers and her fiancé, Andy Rivenburg; Theresa Patrick and her husband, James; Terri Shifflet and her husband, Mark; Sherry Monoskey; Bobbi Jo Carns and her husband, Edward; Amy Frantz and her husband, Scott; Meredith Hamilton and her husband Eric; and Jessica Castro; 16 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heath Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Vogel officiating. Interment will be at the Centre Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard at the funeral home.
