Woodrow L. ‘Woody’ Flood, 94 of Clearfield died on Dec. 14, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on April 7, 1917 in Keewaydin, a son of the late Orvis and Blanch (Renaud) Flood.
Mr. Flood operated Flood’s Texaco service station in Clearfield for 28 years, retiring in 1981. He was also previously employed by the former Harington’s Mining Co. and the former Moshannon Falls Mining Co. Later he worked part-time for the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home until 1995.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield where he served as head usher for five years from 1988 until 1993. He was a life member of both the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540 and the Third Ward Fire Company. He also was a member of the former CCC Camps.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred D. (Luzier) Flood on April 26, 1998 and whom he married Dec. 14, 1938 in Winchester, VA; a son Gary Flood; a daughter-in-law Martha ‘Marty’ Flood; two sisters June McNeeley and Margaret ‘Peggy’ Kelly; two infant sisters; and sister-in-law Wava Flood.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Interment will follow in the Keewaydin Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
