PINE TOWNSHIP – Two people needed medical treatment following a two-vehicle accident in Pine Township.
According to the state police in Clearfield, the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. David Whitney of Marion Center was traveling west on US Route 322. While making a left turn, he turned in front of a vehicle on state Route 153 being operated by George Gallaher of Clearfield.
Police said Whitney was wearing his seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. He was flown to Altoona Regional for treatment. Gallaher was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured. A passenger in Gallaher’s vehicle, Ernie J. Mattern of Frenchville, was wearing his seat belt and was transported to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
