CLEARFIELD – For the fourth year the Elks Community Christmas Parade rode through town. Santa and Mrs. Claus rode into the end intersection of Market Street by Agway in a rail caboose.
Crowds waited at the intersection for the caboose. Children crowded around the Claus couple wanting to greet Santa and have photos taken with him. Over a half-dozen participants traveled down Clearfield’s streets to the Elks.
“We gave out 350 stockings to the community,” said Karen Potts, Elks’ representative working on the parade.
Stockings were handed out by Santa at the Elks lodge.
“I like it. It was short, but I like that people were willing to come out today in the cold,” said Dan Smeal.
