ELDRED TOWNSHIP – A residential fire along Canfield Hollow Road in Eldred Township caused an estimated $100,000 worth of damage at 7:48 a.m. Friday. The fire has been ruled accidental in nature, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
According to the report, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal at Ridgway and the Eldred Township Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of a fire that damaged a two-story, wooden-framed residence.
The residence was occupied by the victim and his family at the time of the fire; however, no injuries were reported as a result, state police said. The victim was identified as Shannon E. Shroyer, 42, of Eldred.
