William P. “Billy” Bell, 95, of Clearfield, PA passed away on Dec. 1, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on June 12, 1916 in Grampian, Penn Township, PA, the son of Percy A. and Mildred (Helper) Bell Anderson.
Mr. Bell had retired from The Progress as a carrier and various farm jobs and all types of yard work.
He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield and a past member of the West Branch Meeting Religious Society of Friends, Grampian.
Mr. Bell was a member of the former Penn Grange, Grampian and the Republican Party.
He is survived by a sister, Edith E. Merle of Clearfield and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Oscar G. Anderson and two brothers; Charles G. Bell and Boyd O. Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Dec. 3 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Way officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at St John Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1454, Clearfield, PA 16830.
