Mary A. Miller, 89 of Sandy Ridge, passed away at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg on Nov. 26, 2011.
Born Sept. 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Yurko) Resconsky.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Philipsburg; she retired as a cook at the former Philipsburg State General Hospital. She was a graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School, class of 1940. She enjoyed gardening, baking and needle work.
On Nov. 8, 1941, she wed William A. Miller. He passed away on Oct. 17, 1981.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Michael Miller and sister Susan Bryan.
She is survived by daughters Judy Dugan and her husgand Dr. Daniel A. Dugan of Clearfield; Mary Jo Luebbers and her husband Raymond of State College; and Sharon P. Phillips and her husband Gregory of Boalsburg; sisters Theresa Reese of Sandy Ridge and Anna Golemboski and her husband Edward of Osceola Mills; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Rob Horgas officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
