Betty L. Slother, 67 of Philipsburg, passed away on Nov. 25, 2011 at DRMC.
Born Dec. 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Franklin H. Lumadue and Catherine (Fleck) Lumadue, who survives.
She was of Christian faith. She was employed at one time as a housekeeper at the Twelve Oaks RV Resort in Sanford, FL. After returning to the area, she worked at the Days Inn of Clearfield, and later Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield, until her retirement.
She was a 1962 graduate of the Philipsburg High School.
On June 29, 1963 she wed Leroy Slother, who preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband; and sister, Bernice Claber.
She is survived by her mother; daughter Bettina “Tina” Goss and her husband David of Cherry Tree; son Jeffrey L. Slother and his wife Sharon of Philipsburg; grandsons Gary Andrew and Austin Cooper Slother, both of Philipsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her generation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
