James Borrelli, 89, of DuBois died Sunday at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born Oct. 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Muffie) Borrelli.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he was awarded five Bronze Stars.
Mr. Borrelli retired from the Toyota Garage in DuBois. Prior to that, he worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.
He married Martha (Wachob) Borrelli. She preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 1984.
He’s survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Greene of Rockton and Lori Britsch of Pittsburgh; a sister, Mary Raybuck of DuBois; three brothers, Edward Borrelli of Anita; Don Borrelli of California; and Robert Borrelli of Goose Creek, SC; seven grandchildren, Troy Clark, Daniel Clark, Derek George, Jacob Britsch, Kenneth Britsch, Crystal Britsch and Andrew Britsch; and six great-grandchildren, Calais Clark, Daniel J. “D.J.” Clark, Mason Clark, Kelcie Clark, Aliyah Britsch and Violet Britsch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Ambrose, Joseph and Samuel Borrelli and four sisters, Maxine and Madeline Borrelli, Julia Gigliotti and Marguerite Leon.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
