PHILIPSBURG – A Penelec sub-station sustained $3,000 worth of damage after an incident of theft occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Nov. 12 and 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at its location at the intersection of Pine and Railroad streets in Philipsburg Borough.
According to the report, a person(s) gained access to the sub-station by cutting a hole in the perimeter fence. Once inside, they allegedly cut and removed multiple ground wires before fleeing the scene.
