CURWENSVILLE – This fish was caught on Nov. 13 by Jason Brimmer in the West Branch of the Susquehanna River near Curwensville Lake on a live bluegill.
The musky was 45 3/4 inches long and weighed 25 pounds. The top jaw of the fish is missing, presumably an old injury that occured when this fish was just a fingerling.
Its amazing a fish can survive such an injury and grow to such a large size,” said Brimmber. “So this fish if, uninjured leaves alot to the imagination of how large this fish would have been if it wasn’t injured at such a young age. There are record size muskie in these waters its just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.”
