No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Monday along state Route 255 in Huston Township, Clearfield County. Jackie Flynn, 58, of Penfield was traveling northbound downhill at which time a vehicle operated by Vincent Ferraro, 41, of DuBois was traveling southbound uphill. A deer jumped into the path of the Flynn vehicle, which struck the animal, sending it airborne into the southbound roadway. The Ferraro vehicle then struck the deer with its windshield/roof area. The deer was sheered in half and entered the man’s vehicle through the windshield area. Ferraro lost control of his vehicle at that time, as it rotated 180 degrees before coming to a final rest in between lanes. Both Flynn and Ferraro pulled their vehicles off the roadway. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday along U.S. Route 322 at its intersection with SR 219 in Brady Township, Clearfield County. An 18-year-old Cherry Tree man was traveling south on SR 219, while a vehicle operated by Kimberly Hamilton, 43, of DuBois was traveling west on Route 322. The man failed to stop his vehicle at the intersection and proceeded into the westbound lane of Route 322 and into the path of the Hamilton vehicle. The Hamilton vehicle then impacted the man’s vehicle. Both were wearing their seatbelts; the man will be cited for stop signs and yield signs. Police were assisted at the scene by the Sandy Township Volunteer Fire Department, DuBois Emergency Medical Services and towing services.
