CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation, (CRC) partnered with Starr Hill Winery to offer the new “Clearfield” All-America City wine. “Clearfield” is a benefit wine, where a dollar per bottle sold goes directly back to the CRC. Owner of Starr Hill Winery, Kenn Starr presented a $300 check to the Main Street Manager Kellie Truman, who received the donation on behalf of the CRC. This check, along with a previous donation, together total $1,000 contribution from Starr Hill Wineries to the CRC from the sales of the Clearfield wine.Â
Truman explained that the CRC, “brings attention to the best of what our area has to offer.” Clearfield wine could be a welcomed conversation favor for any local business to give to clients and employees this year.
Owner of Starr Hill, Kenn Starr stated, “We are extremely pleased with how successful the Clearfield Wine was, and we are excited for it again in 2012.”
Local artist Ian Aughinbaugh designed the label for the 2011 Clearfield Edition, and the new 2012 will be introduced with a new collectors label in February, debuting at the Groundhog Wine Trail Festival, which will be held Feb. 4 at the Expo 1 Building. Tickets are on sale now at all Starr Hill Winery locations. For those who enjoy the concord grape taste of Clearfield, the blend will remain the same next year.
