The Clearfield Area United Way would like to announce, that at Tuesday’s Second Report Luncheon, $38,340 in donations were announced. That brings the CAUW to an overall total of $198,975 or 81% of their $245,000 Community Campaign Goal.
The United Way helps to support 25 Local Member Agencies located throughout Southern, Eastern & Central Clearfield County. A fundraiser for coupons good at Sid’s Sub Shop in Clearfield is going on now; for $8.50 each you will be able to get a medium drink and either a footlong sub (there are 33 types) or a chicken or steak salad. Coupons are good for a year and can be pre-ordered by mailing a check made to “CAUW” for the desired number of coupons with your return address and a phone number to the United Way at 18, North Second Street, P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830 and we will mail you mail the coupons when they arrive after Nov. 11.
There will also be a “Celebrity Waiter” Night for the United Way at the Dutch Pantry on Dec. 7 from 4-8. Students from Clfd. Area High School will be helping CAUW Board Members and Volunteers to serve food; in turn, 10% of the receipts for the evening and tip jars will be set out for donations during the event. The next Report Lunch will be held Nov. 11 at the St. Charles Cafe.Â
