Canadian-American Sledders Dry-Land Races
40 Maples Day-Use Area
Come join the fun at Sinnemahoning State Park as we host our 6th annual Dry-Land event. The day will include Canine-Cross, Bike-Joring, Cart Races, “Mushing 101” and much more, and it’s all accompanied by lots of barking and tail-wagging.
And don’t miss this opportunity to visit the new Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning that’s located along Park Road near the Cameron-Potter county line.
The fun starts at 9 a.m. Hot food and refreshments will be available to keep away the chill. Spectator areas will be open along the trails and staging area. Races will continue on Sunday, Oct. 30th, but additional programs will not be available.

3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Walnut Ink
Join the Sinnemahoning State Park ranger and park naturalist for a lesson on a lost skill. Learn how to make walnut stain/ink from the hulls of walnuts and then use it to write with a quill pen. A limited number of feathers will be available to carve into pens, or bring a large feather with you. Meet at 40 Maples Day Use Area. Old clothing is recommended.

6 p.m. -7:30 p.m. Campfire Ghost Tales
Come to the campfire ring at 40 Maples for an evening of hot cocoa and haunted tales. Listen as the park ranger spins stories of ghosts and ghouls that have haunted the First Fork area. Bring a lawn chair and a friend to hold your hand. Hot cocoa will be available to keep away the chill.
