CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Oct. 24.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Chris John O’Connor, 52, of North Church Street, DuBois.
Shaw stated that O’Connor is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing Aug. 31 as well as for failure to appear at arraignment court on Sept. 28.
On July 6, Officer Shawn Fye of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging O’Connor with: driving under the influence; driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked; careless driving, S; driving on right side of roadway; and driving on roadways laned for traffic.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Fye states that on May 20, the Lawrence Township Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Park Avenue Extension. Upon making contact with the driver, Fye detected signs of impairment and requested that O’Connor perform field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, O’Connor was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 31 at which time O’Connor failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Also, on Sept. 28, O’Connor failed to appear for arraignment court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
O’Connor is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall with blue eyes and brown hair.
