An incident of public drunkenness reportedly occurred at 3 a.m. Sunday along Front Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 45-year-old Philipsburg man was observed sleeping on a bench. He reportedly smelled of a strong odor of alcohol. He was intoxicated and charged with public drunkenness.
An incident of harassment reportedly occurred at 11 p.m. Oct. 20 along North Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 21-year-old Kylertown man and a 20-year-old Philipsburg man engaged in a physical altercation. Charges of harassment have been filed against both through the district court.
An incident of cruelty to animals reportedly occurred at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 19 along South Front Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 44-year-old Philipsburg man’s cat wandered away from a period of time. When it returned home, it’d been shot by a 177-cal. Pellet gun.
An incident of theft from a motor vehicle reportedly occurred at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 18 along West Sawmill Road in Worth Township, Centre County. A 23-year-old Port Matilda woman reported that a person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle while parked in her driveway and removed $40 from the center console. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370. Residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked when they’re unoccupied.
