Harry M. Robbins, 97 of Olanta, PA passed away Oct. 18, 2011 at the Altoona Regional Medical Center, Altoona.
He was born on Nov. 26, 1913 in Knox Twp., Clearfield Co., the son of George and Arminta (Lord) Robbins.
Mr. Robbins attended the Turkey Hill School of Olanta.
He worked for Harbison Walker from 1939 to 1978 retiring after thirty nine years of service in the mining department. He was a registered mine foreman and had been a Knox Twp., Supervisor for sixteen years.
Mr. Robbins was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Olanta.
He was a member of the Rowles Hunting Camp for forty one years

Mr. Robbins enjoyed farming, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife; Edna M. (Rowles) Robbins whom he married December 10, 1940 at the New Millport Parsonage, three children; Bonnell “Bonnie” Witherow and her husband D. Duane of Olanta, Raymond Robbins and his wife Judith of Clearfield and Lynne Peacock and her husband Larry of Olanta, seven grandchildren; Lance Witherow and his wife Laura, Link Witherow and his wife Gretchen, Michelle Martin, Kristie Keeler and her husband Blair, Christopher Peacock and his wife Jennifer, Matthew Peacock and his wife Janette and Randy Peacock and his wife Kearstin, twelve great grandchildren; Shauna, Shianne, Elsa, Kyler, Ashlyn, Alexis, Rachel, Kaylee, Harrison, Brock, Katie and Connor, a brother, James Robbins and his wife Cartha of Olanta, a sister, Dorothy Sloppy of Ashland, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Douglas Peacock, four sisters; Emma Kline, Marie Smith, Leola Robbins and Hazel Watkins and three brothers; Lewis, William and Carl Robbins.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Olanta on Oct. 21 at 11:00 a.m. with the Certified Lay Minister Candidate Mr. Paul Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Oct. 20 from 6-9 p.m. and on Oct. 21 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the services.
