CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Oct. 17.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Christine Saldukas, 31, of Turnpike Avenue, Clearfield. He stated that Saldukas is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing Oct. 12.
On Sept. 8, Officer Julie Wehler of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Saldukas with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Wehler states that on Aug. 25, the Lawrence Township Police received a report of a theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Upon investigation, it was found that Saldukas had concealed several items of merchandise with the intent of unlawfully removing the items from the store.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 12 at which time Saldukas failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Saldukas is described as a Caucasian female, standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall with hazel eyes and blond hair.
