Violet Marie Sellers, Age 63 of East Washington Ave., DuBois, PA died Oct. 13, 2011 at her residence.
Born on Jan. 18, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD, she was the daughter of the late Ben & Lillian (Somervould) Harkema.
On Aug. 13, 1966, she married John A. “Jack” Sellers. He survives.
She had worked at Bailey’s Drive In for 18 years. She loved her job there.
She was a member of the Falls Creek Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and was a past member of the DuBois Women’s Bowling Association. She was Lutheran by faith and enjoyed arts& crafts, bowling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters (Jackie Mitskavich and her husband Tom of DuBois, PA, and Janice Sellers of DuBois, PA); two grandchildren (Ryan & Melia Mitskavich); three sisters ( Alice Gilette & Marlene Schliemann, both of Sioux Falls, ND, and Evelyn Beskow of Iowa) and two brothers (Raymond and David Harkema, both of Sioux Falls, SD).
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother (John Harkema).
Visitation will be held on Oct. 16 from 2 -6 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. from the Goble-Baronick funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
