Michael A. Foster, 48, of West Decatur died Thursday at the Clearfield Hospital. He was born March 9, 1963 in Wallaceton, the son of the late Charles A. and Viola (Smeal) Foster.
Mr. Foster was affiliated with the New Christian Life Church, Clearfield. He was a truck driver and laborer for Coleman Asphalt, Osceola Mills.
He married Cheryl A. (Lefort) Foster on July 2, 2011 in West Decatur.
Mr. Foster is survived by two step-daughters, Lesa Lansberry and her husband, Gerald of Osceola Mills and Jamie Serena and her husband, Paul of Clearfield and one step-son, Jim Shimmel and his wife, Jessica of Clearfield.
He’s survived by four sisters, Trudy Root and her husband, Michael; Penny Kenney and Lori Slabon, all of West Decatur and Amanda Pryde of Philipsburg.
Also surviving are four brothers, Charles Foster and his wife, Shelly of Sandy Ridge; Kevin Foster and his wife, Pam and Buddy Foster, all of West Decatur and William Foster and his companion, Janit Frank of Osceola Mills; and 10 step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-granddaughter, Brooke Serena.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, with the Pastor Charlie B. Jury officiating. Interment will be at the Bigler Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
