Ruth H. Laws, 95, of Clearfield died on Saturday at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on June 6, 1916 in Swannanoa, NC, a daughter of the late James and Ella Lytle. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield, the United Methodist Women and the Patriotic Order of America.
Mrs. Laws was employed as a cook for the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and also a babysitter for the family of Mrs. Ann Law.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha Lynch and her husband, Paul and two grandsons, Dan Lynch and his wife, Phyllis, all of Clearfield, and Don Lynch and his wife, Jaime of State College.
Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren, Karah, Ryan, Jaidon, Emily, Taye and Kai Lynch and Nicholas and Christopher Osborn; a sister, Annabelle Daniels and her husband, Rufus of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Fortune, and her second husband, Oscar Laws; six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Mark S. Brower officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey St., Clearfield, or charity of the donor’s choice.
