Timothy G. Keelan, age 55, of Treasure Lake in DuBois, PA died Oct. 4, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.Â
He was born on March 29, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of John G. Keelan, Jr. and Shirley D. (Docherty) Keelan. They both survive and live in Cedar Park, TX.Â
On May 9, 2000, he married Mary E. (Mathis) Keelan. She survives.Â
He was a mental health specialist.
He was a member of James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed chess, gardening and reading. He was an avid hiker and camper.Â
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:Â Pualani Ross and her husband, Marc of Bloomfield, NJ, and Melissa Mathis of Tucson, AZ, his brothers, Terry Keelan and his wife, Helen of Los Angeles, CA, Paul Keelan and his wife, Mary Kay of Butler, PA, David Keelan and his wife, Chris of Ellicott City, MD, Dan Keelan and his wife, Joan Carella of Hamilton, NJ, his sisters, Cathy Keelan and her partner, Roxan, of Maui, HI, Megan Bluher of Cornation, WA, Beth Lynch and her husband, Bruce of Greensboro, NC, and Nancy Harvath and her husband, John of Cedar Park, TX, and one grandchild, Skylar Ross.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Keelan.
There will be no visitation.
A celebration of life service for Timothy Keelan will be held on Oct. 8 from 1-3 p.m. at the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars in DuBois.
