Joan R. Morgan, 83 of Clearfield died on Oct. 4, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on June 16, 1928 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Pearl (Spence) McDivitt.
Joan, a devoted sister, wife and mother, was a homemaker and enjoyed working outside in her flower garden. She was a volunteer at the Clearfield Hospital and was also employed at Sears Roebuck. For many years, she enjoyed getting together with friends for couples and ladies card clubs; most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom she loved and appreciated deeply. She was methodist by faith.
She is survived by a daughter:

John ‘Butch’ McDivitt and wife Carlie Lawrenceville
A sister-in-law:
Margie McDivitt Harrisburg
And several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Thomas Morgan on March 25, 1997; a son, Mark A. Morgan who preceded her in death on August 24, 1993, a brother Richard McDivitt and infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
