A Hanes Drive man reported Sept. 30 that someone made a charge of $610 to his credit card.
During a routine traffic stop Sept. 30, police discovered marijuana in a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Sher De Lin Road woman. Her husband, a passenger of the vehicle, stated it belonged to him. Contraband was seized and charges are currently pending the completion of the investigation.
On Sept. 30, a 29-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that her 28-year-old estranged husband was harassing her via text messaging. Officers handled the situation without incident.
On Oct. 1, police found a vehicle parked at the intersection of Basse Terre and Caribbean roads with a male sleeping inside. Officers attempted to wake up the 43-year-old DuBois man, and after several attempts, the man exited the vehicle but couldn’t maintain his balance. He was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw and then to the Clearfield County Jail on a 48-hour detainer.
On Oct. 1, a Baddog Road man reported that someone removed a box from his vehicle sometime overnight. The box contained numerous CDs and clothing that were prepared for mailing. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A Treasure Lake man reported Oct. 1 that someone removed a portable basketball hoop from his driveway on Admiral Dunbar Road.
Police investigated a 911 hang-up call at a Maple Avenue residence Oct. 1. The call was accidental.
A 23-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Oct. 1 that her parents were engaged in a dispute, which she felt may be physical. At arrival, the woman’s mother reported it was a misunderstanding, and she and her husband had argued while moving furniture. Officers also spoke with the husband and it was handled without incident.
On Oct. 1, a Treasure Lake woman was traveling on Clear Run Road at which time she lost control of her vehicle and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported; the vehicle was driven from the scene.
On Oct. 2, a 39-year-old San Spur Road man lost control after his vehicle hydroplaned on Rich Highway, causing it to travel down an embankment. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
On Oct. 2, a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Treasure Lake man was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a New Mexico man, while the two were attempting to exit Treasure Lake. Minor damage was done to the vehicles and the Treasure Lake man was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for evaluation of injuries.
A false alarm was reported at a South Brady Street home Oct. 2.
A DuBois man reported Monday that a tire was slashed on his daughter’s vehicle, while it was parked at the Clarion Hotel.
On Monday, officers responded to a Simpson Avenue residence for an out of control juvenile. The 12-year-old allegedly made threats toward his step-mother. Officers handled the situation without further incident.
On Monday, police checked the welfare of a 4-year-old child at a South Brady Street residence. Officers were contacted because the child’s father may have been using drugs. Upon investigation, they found the child to be OK at the home.
On Tuesday, Wal-Mart employees reported they had a tape of an older couple that was removing a laptop from the store without paying for it. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
