Betty J. Freas, age 81, of South Avenue in DuBois, PA died Oct. 2, 2011 at Christ the King Manor.
She was born on May 4, 1930 in DuBois, PA. She was the daughter of the late James & Helen (Murdock) Slattery.
On June 10, 1950 at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, she married Herbert W. Freas. He survives.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, PA.
She is survived by her children:Â James E. Freas of DuBois, PA and Marsha Kail and her husband, Robert of Falls Creek, PA, a sister, Helen Shaffer of DuBois, PA, a brother, James Slattery of Ridgway, PA, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Slattery.
Visitation will be held on Oct. 5 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois, PA.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois on Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Monty Sayers as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
