KYLERTOWN – Drivers in the Kylertown area will encounter travel delays on Tuesday due to bridge beam work.
Starting at 8 a.m., crews will begin setting beams on the Interstate 80 westbound bridge that spans Route 2037(Winburne Road/Main Street). Beam setting activity is expected to last through 2 p.m.
Flaggers will control traffic on Route 2037 and drivers should expect delays and possible slowed or stopped traffic in the Kylertown area. Drivers may wish to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
This work is part of the I-80 westbound bridge replacement project near Kylertown. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $10 million project. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, use caution in construction zones and always buckle up. PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
