The Last Word
Jay: “I think if Clearfield gets past a decent Mifflin Co. team they go undefeated in the regular season. Curwensville will take out their frustrations on O-E. Toss-up games with Mo Valley and Brockway getting my pick. Pitt’s loss last week may cost them this week’s game too! Playing a hunch that Eagles will win with or without Vick.”
Dave: “Clearfield faces a tough test against Mifflin County, but I think they will prevail on their home field. Curwensville gets a nice bounce-back game, the ND-Pitt game is a toss-up for me, and I think the Eagles win even without Vick.”
Dustin: “I’m focusing on the two NFL picks this week. I can’t pick the Eagles because of the questions surrounding Vick. That’s not saying his backup was bad against the Falcons, but the fact is that if Vick can’t go, combined with the fact that Vince Young is on reserve, I can’t pick them. As for the Steelers-Colts, this one originally before the season was a big toss up. Now, it’s a gimme. Yeah, the Colts looked better in week 2, but they still aren’t the same with No. 18 on the sidelines. I expect there to be just as much black and gold inside Lucas Oil Stadium, a building that I actually had a great view of last weekend when I was in Indiana covering a monster truck event.”
Chris: “I like the Panthers to bounce back from a tough loss at Iowa. The Steelers appear to have the ship righted after the Week One debacle against the Ravens. The Peyton-less Colts appear to be no match.”
