DuBois — The Lady Tide extended their winning streak to four matches with their 3-0 sweep of DuBois Central Catholic 25-17, 25-12, 25-23 on Tuesday evening.
The win upped Curwensville’s record to 4-1 for the year.
A number of the Lady Tide players filled up the stat sheet, and that fact wasn’t lost on Lady Tide Head Coach Sandy Bailor, “I felt Ricki Wells again had a nice defensive game as she had 25 digs and 3 kills. She seems to give us a spark when we need it. Katrina (Seaburn) had a great night at the net again with 11 kills and 3 blocks, while Savannah (Strickland) had 6 kills and 4 blocks. Madison Peterman led us in service points and assists with 13 in each. Tierra Shope had 12 service points and 3 kills, Olivia Prave had 6 service points and 10 assists and Hannah Bressler had 18 digs. Freshman Alaina Stiles came in and served up 4 service points.”
The Lady Tide Junior Varsity squad also swept the Lady Cardinals (25-21, 25-12) to climb above .500 for the year at 3-2.
There’s a bit of a break in the action for the Lady Tide, as they don’t play again until Monday September 26 when they travel to Brockway for their third away match in a row.
