- The Sandy Township Police Department child safety seat technician will be conducting safety seat inspections and assisting caregivers with installations on Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sept. 16, 2011
- A false alarm was reported at Kwik Fill.
- A Greenwood Cemetery Road resident reported that her business sign was taken from her front yard. The sign is valued at $160.
- Officers received a request from the US Air Force to take a Treasure Lake man into property for going AWOL. The 20-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and placed in Clearfield County Jail until he could be picked up by Air Force personnel.
- While on patrol officers came across a vehicle on Industrial Drive with a 39-year-old New Bethlehem man and his wife. They were having a verbal dispute and officers handled the situation without incident.
- A 33-year-old DuBois woman reported that while traveling off of Beaver Drive a dark colored SUV hit her vehicle then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
- A Treasure Lake woman reported her paddle boat was taken from her dock.
- A man reported unruly kids at Garden Grove.
- A 40-year-old Rockton Mountain Highway man lost control of his vehicle causing it to end up on its side on Maple Avenue. The man had minor injuries and failed standard field sobriety testing. He was taken for a blood draw.
- An 18-year-old Rockton man lost control of his vehicle on Spafford Road, causing to hit a dirt bank and pole. The man left the scene prior to police arrival. Police later found him and he was uncooperative and was taken into custody. He was taken for a blood draw and charges are pending.
Sept. 17, 2011
- A Forest Avenue resident reported her white and tan boxer was missing.
- A Treasure Lake security guard reported two speed bumps, value at $1,400, were taken.
- A 20-year-old DuBois man reported that while his vehicle was parked at Wal-Mart, it slipped out of gear and drifted into another vehicle.
- A Stanley Road man reported that someone spray painted his mailbox and put eggs in it.
- A false alarm was reported at Tan Zone.
Sept. 18, 2011
- A Stanley Road man reported that someone poured gas on his driveway and drove off. Officers located an incendiary device on the driveway. The investigation continues.
- A false alarm was reported at Kwik Fill.
- Treasure Lake Security reported damage to a camera at the back gate. It appeared that someone shot the camera.
- A Bee Line Highway woman reported that someone damaged her tail light.
- A Treasure Lake resident reported that someone shattered a front window at his residence. Damage is estimated at $100.
