Teresa F. (Fundanish) Pesansky, 91, of Smokerun died Friday at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on March 24, 1920 at Smokerun and the daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanna (Manjack) Fundanish. Mrs. Pesansky was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera.
She worked as a monitor at the former Sylvania Plant, Houtzdale, and as an inspector at the Sylvania Plant, Warren. She had also previously worked at the former J.B.C. Sewing Factory, Madera.
On Oct. 19, 1941 in New York City, she married John Pesansky, and who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1989.
She’s survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Waite and her husband, Duwayne of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Sherry Johnson and her husband, Jeffrey of Philipsburg; and four great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Nicholas and Megan Johnson all of Philipsburg.
Mrs. Pesansky is also survived by a sister and two brothers, Stanley Fundanish of Chicago, IL; Dorothy Mashensic and her husband, John of Elyria, OH; and Paul Fundanish of Elyria, OH; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Carl Fundanish.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12 at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Stanley J. Swacha as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
