CLEARFIELD – Police are investigating a theft that resulted in two guns and other items being stolen from a Clearfield resident.
According to the state police in Clearfield, on Wednesday someone broke into a residence on Shawville Highway. The person used a screwdriver to pry off the screen then a pick to break the window. Once inside, the person rummaged through two bedrooms and took the following items:
- Colt semi-automatic .45, Mark 4 with black rubber grips, serial number 42494870 (estimated value: $300)
- Smith & Wesson .357 revolver, Model 19 with black rubber grips, serial number 71K2256 (estimated value: $300)
- A plastic mayonnaise jar 3/4 full of quarters (estimated value: $75
- A brown leather jewelry box with a variety of costume jewelry (estimated value: $50)
The left and fled in an unknown manner.
