CLEARFIELD – According to the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency, emergency personnel from Clearfield County are taking part in rescue efforts in eastern Pennsylvania. At 7 p.m. Wednesday night a water rescue team from Clearfield County was sent to assist with rescue and evacuation efforts. As of the press release from EMA Thursday morning, the team was in the Bloomsburg area. It is made up of firefighters from Sandy Township, Curwensville and Irvona.
Water Rescue Team members taking part in the effort include: Shawn Fye, Martin Neeper, James Evans and Marc Hatten, all from Curwensville; Chris Leone, John Gearhart, Bill Wallace, Bridget Kramer, George Kramer Jr., William Cyphert, Dana Smith and Bob Wilson, all from Sandy Township; and Michael Knotts and David Warner from Irvona.
Clearfield County EMA was in contact with the team throughout the morning and said the team has made multiple rescues and evacuations.
