UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Heavy rain in the region, combined with forecasts for more of the same over the next few days, have Penn State officials planning for a number of changes for gameday parking and traffic on Saturday, Sept. 10, when the Nittany Lions take on Alabama at 3:30 p.m. at Beaver Stadium.
Adverse weather, expected to continue until Saturday, has caused some flooding in the region and has saturated fields that are generally used for vehicle parking during Penn State home football games.
Fans planning to come to Saturday’s game should be prepared for possible relocation of their vehicles to areas with paved surfaces that may be farther away from the stadium. Shuttle service will be provided for fans who may be redirected to offsite lots.
More information will be provided as it becomes available. Officials are attempting to assess the situation and provide viable alternatives for redirecting possibly 5,000 vehicles to offsite lots. Fans should check for the most accurate and current information at either http://live.psu.edu or http://GoPSUsports.com online.
