CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to a burglary and theft of guns at the L.B. Toney Company in DuBois City.
Shaw stated that on Aug. 29 at approximately 7:35 p.m. officers from the DuBois City Police Department were dispatched to L.B. Toney Company at 135 Beaver Drive for a report of a general alarm going off. Upon arrival at the scene, officers immediately noticed that a front side window on the right hand side of the building had been smashed out. Officers also recovered a pry bar and two pistols that had been laying in a bush right in front of the window that had been smashed. After securing the location, officers observed damage to the interior of the building including a broken entrance door and a smashed gun show case. Officers also found that several firearms were missing from the store.
The firearms are valued at over $2000.00.Â
Shaw stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to the burglary at the L.B. Toney Company. Shaw also stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the burglary.
