CLEARFIELD — The Jim’s Sports Center of Clearfield fall ball baseball team kicked off their season on Saturday playing host to a triangular with the Philipsburg Legion and the Hollidaysburg Pelicans.
The first game of the day saw the Pelicans get the best of Jim’s by a 10-3 score. The top hitter for Clearfield was Curtis Collins, who had two hits and an RBI. Ronny Ogden was saddled with the loss, while Dom Vidoyo picked up the win for the Pelicans.
The Philipsburg Legion then beat the Pelicans 4-1 behind Parker Watson to finish Hollidaysburg’s day at 1-1.
Philipsburg then outlasted Jim’s 12-9 in the final game to complete the triangular at 2-0. Ogden and Cole Kephart managed two hits for the hosts in the nightcap.
Jim’s will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to DuBois for a 9-inning game at 4:00 p.m. at Shower’s Field.
