CURWENSVILLE–The Curwensville-Pike Township Historical Society will host a walking tour of downtown Curwensville on Sept. 11. Hildred Rowles, society president, will provide a history of the borough including information about its forefathers, geographic areas and buildings of historical significance.
The tour begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Curwensville Veterans of Foreign Wars Robert Ferguson Post No. 842, located near River and Meadows streets. Those attending are asked to meet there.
The tour is scheduled to take approximately two hours and includes a stop at Oak Hill Cemetery.
It will end at the historical society’s museum, the Korb House, at 863 State St.
The museum will also be open from 1 – 4 p.m.
