Officers investigated a 911 hang-up Friday on Two Turtles Road in Treasure Lake. It appeared to be accident.
On Friday, a 17-year-old DuBois boy was traveling from Bay Road to Clear Run Road when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to travel off the roadway and into a culvert. The boy then called his mother who arrived at the scene; they left without contacting police. Two witnesses spoke to the driver immediately following the accident. Officers located the boy and his mother, and both related a different story than the witnesses. The boy finally admitted to driving the vehicle. Charges are currently pending.
On Friday, a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Brockway woman made an illegal u-turn on Rich Highway. As a result, she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Texas man, causing the two to collide. Two passengers were transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment, and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
An 18-year-old DuBois man reported Friday that a laptop and iPod were stolen from his vehicle, while it was parked at Wal-Mart.
A 60-year-old DuBois man missed a turn on Lincoln Driver and drove through a yard Saturday.
On Saturday, a 31-year-old Highland Street man took several pills after an argument with his girlfriend and headed into the woods. After several hours of searching by police and firefighters, the man was located and transported to DRMC. The man was committed on a 302 petition following treatment for the medication he’d taken.
A 23-year-old Brockway woman on Sunday attempted to steal $38.50 worth of extension cords from the Dollar General store. After employees caught her, she returned them and left the store.
On Sunday, a 34-year-old DuBois man lost control of his vehicle on Larkeytown Road, causing it to strike a concrete barrier at the bridge. The vehicle sustained a flat tire and some body damage.
Officers responded to a neighbor dispute in Country Place on Sunday. The situation was handled without incident.
A false alarm was reported at a San Spur Road residence on Sunday.
On Sunday, 10-year-old boy said an unknown male pulled up next to him in a red truck, while he was riding his bike along Dixon Avenue. The male told him to get into the truck at which time the boy fled and called his mother.
On Sunday, a 17-year-old Treasure Lake girl was traveling on Bay Road when a security officer attempted to pull her over for speeding. The girl was nervous and while slowing down to find a spot to pull over, the security vehicle got closer to her vehicle. While rounding a curve, her vehicle began to slide and she lost control, causing it to go into a culvert. No injuries were reported.
