Marcia W. Lloyd, 78, of Houtzdale died Saturday at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born Nov. 28, 1932, she was the daughter of May Jo Love, whom survives in Houtzdale.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Colonists.
Mrs. Lloyd was a 1950 graduate of the Philipsburg High School and of the Penn State University, where she earned her master’s degree in education. She also attended the University of Pittsburgh, receiving her certificate to teach the vision-impaired.
In addition to her mother, she’s survived by her husband of 50 years, Samuel Edmund Lloyd of Houtzdale; three daughters, Kristen Lloyd of Brooklyn, NY; Amy Lloyd of State College; and Allison Lloyd of Port Matilda; a son, Mark Lloyd of Watchung, NJ; and six grandchildren, Sage, Jade, Quinn, Landon, Juliana and Sebastian.
Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen and her grandparents by whom she was adopted, Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Williams of Houtzdale.
There will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville.
