At 1 a.m. Sunday, a 35-year-old DuBois woman was stopped for a traffic violation along Platt Road and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
Moderate to minor injuries were reported following a motorcycle accident at 6:48 p.m. Saturday along U.S. Route 322 in Winslow Township. A motorcycle operated by James N. Marker Jr., 60, of Morrisdale was traveling east when for unknown reasons it drifted off the southern edge onto the berm. Marker couldn’t maneuver the motorcycle back onto the roadway and subsequently lost control on the gravel berm. His motorcycle fell onto its left side, sliding along for 50 feet before coming to a rest. Marker and his passenger, Susan J. Marker, 46, also of Morrisdale, were transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center. His injuries were moderate, and she sustained minor injuries. Both were wearing motorcycle helmets at the time of the mishap. Police were assisted by members of the Reynoldsville Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.
