Aug. 8, 2011
- A 55-year-old Maple Avenue man reported that his 17-year-old daughter left the residence with her 13-month-old daughter after an argument and had not returned.
- Officers received a report of a man and woman involved in an altercation att he Blinker Sheetz. They were gone when officers arrived.
- A Courier Express employee reported papers piling up at a Wilson Avenue residence and that he was concerned for the resident’s welfare. Officers spoke to neighbors who reported that the resident’s car was gone and that they did not suspect anything to be wrong.
- A vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Brookville woman pulled onto state Route 255 from the Interstate 80 off ramp into the path of a 24-year-old DuBois woman. No injuries were reported.
- Employees of Famous Hair reported that two women came in to have their hair done. One attempted to pay with a check. When she was told they did not accept checks, she left and said she would not pay if they did not take checks. The investigation continues.
- A 21-year-old Kilmer Roadman was traveling on Kilmer Road when he rounded a bend and an ATV driven by a 14-year-old Treasure Lake boy pulled out in front of him. He could not stop and struck the ATV. No injuries were reported. The ATV driver will be cited.
- A Flewad Road manreported that someone damaged his truck with rocks.
Aug. 9, 2011
- Employees at the Hampton Inn reported that a 59-year-old Punxsutawney man who was staying at the motel damaged his room and they wanted him removed. Officers handled without incident.
- Officers responded to a number of false alarms.
- Police investigated a 911 hang-up call on Guy Avenue. The call was made mistakenly.
- Treasure Lake Security reported that a resident had damage done to their garage.
- A Deitch Road resident found a youth’s bike at his residence.
- A Hungry Hollow Road resident reported several items were missing from her residence, including a Winchester rifle.
- A 22-year-old DuBois woman reported that she accidentally left a prescription in her cart at Wal-Mart. When she returned to get it, it was gone.
- A 46-year-old DuBois woman reported that she left her wallet at Big Lots. When she returned to retrieve it, employees told her that a man had turned it over to them. She discovered that a few of her shopping discount cards were missing.
