Obituary Notice: Barbara Miller

Barbara (Gardner) Miller, 79, formerly of Clearfield passed away at 1:35 p.m., Aug. 9, 2011 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1931 at Clearfield, a daughter of the late Ralph Gardner, Sr and Hazel S. (Dixon) Gardner Flegal.

Barbara was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield and was a volunteer in the RSVP Program with the Area Agency of Aging for 10 years. She was a 1949 graduate of the former Madera High School and was a homemaker.

Barbara is survived by three children; Larry Miller of Coplay, PA; David Miller and his wife Jackie of Dover, PA and Renee Alexander of Bigler.

She is survived by four grandchildren; Heather Collins, Brandy Carr, Brooke Waltenbaugh and Kelly Miller; three great grandchildren; Liam, James and Dakota.

Barbara is also survived by a sister, June Moore and her husband Thomas of Conway, SC; three brothers, Ronald Gardner and his wife Sharon of Madera; Donald Gardner and his wife Barbie of Clearfield; and Andrew Gardner and his wife Elizabeth of Bullhead City, AZ. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her step father, Samuel Flegal; her former husband, Merle Miller; a son-in-law, Robert Alexander; two sisters, Donna Sims and Shirley Moscoti; a brother, Ralph Gardner, Jr and three infant brothers.

Friends will be received on Aug. 11 from 7-9 p.m. and on Aug. 12 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Aug. 13 from 9- 11 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey with Pastor Robert J. Witherow officiating.
