John Fitzgerald Bodner, 44, of Morrisdale, passed away Aug. 2, 2011 at his mother’s residence in Curwensville.
Born Sept. 7, 1966 in Sewickly, PA, he was the son of Steve Bodner and Josephine R. (Kelly) Bodner Bennett. Mr. Bodner was employed by Glen-Gery Brick Corp of Bigler. He was Lutheran by Faith, a member of the United Steel Workers Union, the Loyal Order of Moose in Morrisdale and Curwensville, and the Curwensville American Legion.
Surviving is his mother of Curwensville, a daughter Cheyenne Bodner of New Ibania, LA, a sister Rose Wilson and her husband Steve of Fort Wayne, IN, a sister-in-law Marion Bodner of Coalport, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father Richard Bennett, his brother Steve Bodner, an infant brother Evan Bodner, and a sister Bernadette Bridget Wood.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bodner will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church State Street Curwensville, on Aug. 13, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Richard Steuernagle officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery Morrisdale.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services. Contributions may be made to the family in care of Mrs. Josephine Bennett 212 Susquehanna Avenue Curwensville, PA 16833.
Military Honors will be accorded at the Church by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
