Raymond E. Sipe, 80, of Clearfield passed away on Aug. 1, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
He was born Sept. 11, 1930 in Clearfield, PA and the son of Lenn L. and Minnie A. (Starr) Sipe.
Mr. Sipe had worked in highway construction.
He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife Jenni (Livergood) Sipe whom he married on September 30, 1949 at the West Side United Methodist Church, three sons; Raymond Sipe, Jr. and his wife Betty Jo of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Ronald Sipe and his wife Debra V. of Philipsburg, PA and Timothy Sipe and his wife Cynthia of Avis, PA, nine grandchildren; Charity Lynn Sipe, Jeffrey James Sipe, Tara Bethaney Sipe, Alina Heather Sipe, Crystal Dawn Sipe, Rebecca Rae Toscano, Lori Foster, Joshua Weaver and April Laio, nine great grandchildren and a brother, Marvin Sipe and his wife Dolly of Clearfield.
Mr. Sipe was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Betty Punchios and Shirley Matthews and two brothers; Duane and Robert Sipe.
At the request of Mr. Sipe there will be no public visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Hiram B. Westover officiating. Interment will be held in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
