A Yamaha dirt bike was found at a private property along Hannah Street on Friday in Houtzdale. Anyone who would like to claim this dirt bike may do so by contacting A.J. Ross Towing.
Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 12:50 p.m. Saturday near the U.S. Route 322 intersection with Graham Station Road in Decatur Township. Vehicles driven by a Fort Lauderdale, FL and David J. Read of Tyrone were traveling east when the Read vehicle stopped for a left-hand turn. The Fort Lauderdale man failed to observe the Read vehicle stopping ahead and impacted its rear. After impact, the Read vehicle came to a rest along the south berm. Charges are currently pending against the Fort Lauderdale man.
An incident of theft by deception was reported at 8 a.m. Thursday at Splash Dam Road in Penn Township. A 27-year-old Grampian woman received correspondence through the mail, stating she’d won a sweepstakes. She was told she’d receive a check to deposit into a GD Money PAC for tax purposes. The check returned to the bank and the Money PAC was empty. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
An incident of assault/harassment was reported at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday at a private residence along Erin Avenue in Brisbin Borough. A 28-year-old Brisbin woman and a 47-year-old Philipsburg man engaged in a verbal altercation, which allegedly became physical when the woman punched him in the face. After the initial assault, the man allegedly pushed her to ground and kicked her. She then threw an unknown object and struck an 18-year-old Philipsburg man in the left leg, as he was walking away from the scene. The woman will be cited for two counts of harassment, while the first Philipsburg man will be cited for one count through the district court in Houtzdale.
