An incident of driving under the influence was reported at 1:03 a.m. Friday along Interstate 99 at mile marker 64-61 southbound in Worth Township, Centre County. A 50-year-old Macungie man was stopped for committing several traffic violations.
Further investigation revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrested for DUI and transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for blood testing. Formal charges for DUI and several summary traffic violations are pending the blood test results.
