Damage was estimated at $600 after a person(s) used an unknown blunt object and intentionally damaged an advertisement sign for Killions Triple K Delight, Philipsburg, sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
An investigation is ongoing into an incident of theft by unlawful taking or disposition that occurred sometime between July 10 and Thursday in Cooper Township. A person(s) obtained approximately 50 checks that belonged to a 43-year-old Philipsburg woman. They also allegedly forged the woman’s name on the checks and cashed the same.
An incident of burglary/theft by unlawful taking was reported between 1 p.m. July 13 and 12 p.m. Friday at a Douglas Road address in Knox Township. A person(s) entered a 71-year-old Olanta woman’s residence and broke into a charcoal gray Sentry safe from her bedroom, which contained approximately $1,700 in cash and $1,750 in silver. An incident if theft is being investigated that occurred sometime between 12:01 a.m. July 15 and 4:30 a.m. July 17 at a Stronach Road residence in Penn Township. A person(s) removed a 46-year-old Grampian man’s car battery from his 1994 Chrysler Concord and replaced it with a different, less expensive battery. An investigation is ongoing into an incident of burglary and criminal trespass that occurred sometime between 3 p.m. July 19 and 8:20 p.m. Friday at a Main Street address in Bradford Township. A person(s) forced their way into a 35-year-old Clearfield woman’s unoccupied residence. It’s unknown at this time if any items were removed from the residence. Charges are currently pending against a 43-year-old Woodland man who was accused of driving under the influence at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday along River Road in Lawrence Township. The man was arrested for suspected DUI after he was stopped for a traffic violation and was taken to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
