Marie Elizabeth (Watson) Manfroni, 86, formerly of Falls Creek, died Thursday at the DuBois Nursing Home. She was born on Sept. 16, 1924 in Granville and was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Williams) Watson.
Mrs. Manfroni was a homemaker and had previously worked at Sylvania in Brookville and Rockwell Manufacturing.
She enjoyed listening to country music Saturday nights and going to the DuBois Senior Citizens Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On Sept. 1, 1947, she married Julius Manfroni, whom preceded her in death on May 31, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Chester and Jack Watson.
She’s survived by one daughter, Janice Polifko and her husband, Terry of Falls Creek; one son, David Manfroni and his wife, Linda of Lawrenceville, GA and four grandchildren.
There will be public visitation from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bockus officiating. Burial will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.
