John W. Draisey, 68, of Madera died Thursday at the Clearfield Hospital after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
He was born on July 17, 1943 in Belsena and was the son of the late Thomas and Rosella (Wilkes) Draisey. He worked as a welder in manufacturing.
Mr. Draisey is survived by a son, John Draisey of Madera; five sisters, Madge Wiseman of Madera; Virginia Clark of Avon Park, FL; Phebe Tubo and her husband, Don of Niagara Falls, NY; Darlene Harper of Philipsburg; Dorothy Bryant and her husband, Robert of Webster, FL; and two brothers, Bernie Draisey and his wife, Esther of Harrisburg and Gene Draisey and his wife Jeanne, of Johnstown.
Also surviving are two granddaughters, Page Marie and Jessica and number nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Forrest Draisey and two granddaughters, Wendy and Sara.
Mr. Draisey’s request was for all services to be private and at the convenience of his family. Interment will be in the Alexander Cemetery, Madera.Â
